Over many years in business the ASKOM company has gathered extensive know-how and experience in the field of integrating various process control / manufacturing execution systems (MES) and manufacturing various software for industry. Our competences allow us to offer our Customers benefits of one-stop solutions that optimally integrate production systems with management systems in order to minimize production costs and to maximize production efficiency.

For many years we have been SIEMENS business partner. As the authorized Solution Specialist we offer Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) solutions i.e. comprehensive solutions that automate manufacturing processes. Such solutions may consist of SIMATIC PLC controller systems, SIMATIC PCS7 Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SIMATIC BATCH process control systems, and/or SIMATIC IT manufacturing execution systems (MES). ASKOM is a sole SIMATIC IT Solution Specialist in Poland regarding the MES technology developed by Siemens according to the ISA95 industry standard.

We offer design and delivery of turn-key control systems for individual machines, production lines, industrial processes and/or entire industrial plants. We can design the system, program its software, take care of all deliveries, pre-fabricate and assemble control cabinets, start the system up in the field, put it into operation, and deliver maintenance services.

We integrate our solutions using products of globally renown suppliers of field instrumentation, PLC controllers, DCS systems, MES systems. Besides the Siemens TIA platform, we use in our projects various other components including (i) GE FANUC, Beckhoff and Wago controllers; (ii) IAS/InTouch (ArchestrA system) and iFIX SCADA systems; (iii) MetsoDNA DCS systems. Our know-how regarding these components draws on our multi-year experience gathered in various applications, and is backed-up by authorization of GE Intelligent Platforms, Wonderware, and Metso Automation companies.

ASKOM reference list includes over 400 control systems successfully developed for complex objects (not counting numerous smaller projects), implemented mainly in the food, power, chemical, coke-making, and machine-building industries.

We also manufacture software for IT industrial systems, both off-the-shelf products and custom-tailored software. Since 1995 ASKOM has been developing and marketing asix – a HMI/SCADA/MES-class software sold in over 4000 licenses to various customers in Poland. Apart from the standard HMI/SCADA-class software functionality, programs of the asix package may be used:

• to build redundant systems, multi-node networks, Internet applications (asix4Internet)

• to dose raw materials and to track production (AsBase)

• to remotely notify on alarm conditions (AsAlert) and analyze alarm log (AsAlarm)

• to validate production in food and pharmaceutical industries (AsAudit).

Over 30 companies all over Poland has been granted the status of an authorized asix package integrator, which means that a local partner with knowledgeable experts capable of accomplishing the entire process of designing, implementing and servicing asix-based systems is usually available.

Quality of our solutions is guaranteed by an ISO 9001 QA certificate obtained by our company in 2001. The certificate scope covers:

• Designing, developing software, completing deliveries, assembling, starting-up, and servicing computerized process control and manufacturing execution systems.

• Manufacturing of software for process visualization and management.

The certificate was issued on the basis of an audit of our company performed by TÜV NORD CERT GmbH.
